How we handle data — short, complete and without tracking.
1. Controller
The controller for data processing on this website is:
Quantum Collective LLPa limited liability partnership under the laws of the Province of British Columbia, Canada
5307 Victoria Drive #1101
Vancouver, BC V5P 3V6, Canada
Email: hi@the-presence.io
2. Hosting and server log files
When you visit this website, our hosting provider automatically processes information in so-called server log files (e.g. IP address, date and time of access, page requested, browser type). Processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR to ensure the reliable and secure operation of the website. Log data is not merged with other data sources.
The website is hosted by Netlify (Netlify, Inc., 512 2nd Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA) and delivered via the Cloudflare content delivery network (Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA). Both providers also process data in the USA; transfers are based on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or – where the provider is certified – on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
3. No cookies, no third-party fonts
This website sets no cookies and stores no information on your device. Fonts and all other resources are loaded locally from our server; no data is transmitted to third-party services such as Google Fonts.
4. Analytics with Plausible
We use Plausible Analytics to understand how this website is used. The provider is Plausible Insights OÜ, Västriku tn 2, 50403 Tartu, Estonia, which processes the data on our behalf and on our instructions (processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR). Visitor data is processed exclusively within the European Union and stored on servers in Germany; no transfer to a third country takes place.
Plausible works without cookies: nothing is stored on or read from your device, so no consent under Section 25(1) TDDDG is required. Only aggregated figures are recorded, such as pages viewed, referrer, approximate country-level origin, device type, browser and operating system. Your IP address is transmitted for technical reasons but is not stored; it is used only briefly to generate a daily rotating hash that cannot be traced back to you. Individual visitors are not recognised, tracked across devices or profiled.
The legal basis is our legitimate interest in privacy-friendly statistical analysis and in improving what we offer (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). You may object to this processing under Art. 21 GDPR. Further information is available in the provider's privacy policy at plausible.io/data-policy.
5. Appointment booking via Calendly
To book an intro call, we link to the Calendly service (Calendly LLC, USA). You only leave our website once you follow such a link; the data you enter there (e.g. name, email address, preferred time) is processed by Calendly on its own responsibility or on our behalf to arrange the appointment (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Calendly's own privacy notice applies in addition.
6. Newsletter
You can subscribe to our newsletter on this website. To do so, we process your first name and your email address.
Subscription uses a double opt-in procedure: after you submit the form, you receive an email containing a confirmation link. Your subscription only takes effect once you click that link; until then your address remains unused. As proof of consent, we store the time of the subscription and of the confirmation together with the IP address used.
The legal basis is your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. You may withdraw it at any time with effect for the future, for example via the unsubscribe link at the end of every newsletter or by contacting us. The lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal remains unaffected. After a withdrawal we remove your data from the distribution list; the log data documenting your consent is retained as evidence for as long as claims can be brought against us.
We use Brevo, a service of Sendinblue GmbH, Cologne, and Brevo SAS, Paris, to send and manage the newsletter. Brevo processes the data on our behalf and on our instructions (processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR) on servers within the European Union. The subscription form is submitted directly to Brevo, which means your IP address is transmitted to Brevo the moment you submit the form. No transmission takes place before that. Further information is available in the provider's privacy policy at brevo.com/legal/privacypolicy.
Our newsletters contain tracking pixels and individualised links that let us see whether and when a message was opened and which links were clicked. This analysis helps us tailor the content to our readers' interests and forms part of your consent. If you would rather not have this, you can unsubscribe or disable the automatic display of images in your email programme.
7. Contact by email
If you contact us by email, we process your details to handle the enquiry and any follow-up questions (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, for general enquiries Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The data is deleted once it is no longer required for the purpose of processing and no statutory retention obligations apply.
8. Calculator on the home page
The calculator on our home page runs entirely in your browser. The values you set are not transmitted to us or to any third party and are not stored.
9. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right of access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection to processing based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (Art. 21). Simply contact hi@the-presence.io. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
